How can an international coalition uncover the truth?
Families confronting missing newborn cases inspire a Belgrade congress uniting experts to address systemic abuses, child trafficking, institutional failures, and strengthen international cooperation, accountability, and protections for children and families.
The need to organize such a Congress arises from the long-standing struggle of families facing difficult and unresolved cases of missing newborns.
The Association of Parents of Missing Newborns of Vojvodina (Serbia), in cooperation with the Union of Christians of Croatia, announces the First International Congress “Together in the Protection of Children,” which will be held in May 2026 in Belgrade.
The aim of the Congress is to establish a transnational structure for the protection of the rights of children and families, through the connection of institutions, civil society organizations, experts, and witnesses from different countries around the world.
The need to organize such a Congress stems from the long-term experiences of families dealing with difficult and unresolved cases of missing newborns, suspicions of systemic abuse, and the absence of adequate institutional responses. Despite numerous testimonies and pieces of evidence, many cases remain without justice, while families continue searching for the truth about the fate of their children.
The Congress will bring together participants from the region—Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro—as well as representatives from the United States, Canada, European Union countries, and Israel.
The Congress will focus on the following key themes:
- Investigation of systemic child abductions
- Abduction of newborns after birth (EPDIA): “Children Born to Disappear”
- Living evidence of child trafficking
- Ethical and legal responsibility of the state and the Church
- Abuse within religious communities, including by clergy
This Congress represents an important step toward opening an international dialogue, exchanging experiences, and initiating concrete mechanisms for the protection of children and families, as well as toward establishing accountability and strengthening legal and ethical standards in society.

Obitelji suočene s nestancima novorođenčadi potiču kongres u Beograd koji okuplja stručnjake radi rješavanja sustavnih zlouporaba, trgovine djecom, institucionalnih propusta te jačanja međunarodne suradnje, odgovornosti i zaštite djece i obitelji.
Potreba za organizacijom ovakvog Kongresa proizlazi iz dugogodišnjeg suočavanja obitelji s teškim i nerazjašnjenim slučajevima nestanka novorođenčadi
Udruga roditelja nestalih novorođenčadi Vojvodine iz Srbije, u suradnji sa Savezom kršćana Hrvatske iz Hrvatske, najavljuje održavanje Prvog međunarodnog kongresa „Zajedno u zaštiti djece“, koji će se održati u svibnju 2026. godine. u Beogradu.
Cilj Kongresa je uspostavljanje nadnacionalne strukture za zaštitu prava djece i obitelji, kroz povezivanje institucija, organizacija civilnog društva, stručnjaka i svjedoka iz različitih zemalja svijeta.
Potreba za organizacijom ovakvog Kongresa proizlazi iz dugogodišnjeg suočavanja obitelji s teškim i nerazjašnjenim slučajevima nestanka novorođenčadi, sumnjama na sustavne zlouporabe, kao i izostankom adekvatnih institucionalnih odgovora. Unatoč brojnim svjedočanstvima i dokazima, mnogi slučajevi ostaju bez pravde, dok obitelji i dalje tragaju za istinom o sudbini svoje djece.
Kongres će okupiti sudionike iz regije – Hrvatske, Srbije, Bosne i Hercegovine i Crne Gore – kao i predstavnike iz Sjedinjenih Američkih Država, Kanade, zemalja Europske unije i Izraela.
Fokus Kongresa bit će na sljedećim ključnim temama:
Istraživanje sustavnih otmica djece
Otmica novorođenčadi nakon poroda (EPDIA): „Djeca rođena da nestanu“
Živi dokazi trgovine djecom
Etička i pravna odgovornost države i Crkve
Zlostavljanja u vjerskim zajednicama,od strane svećenika
Ovaj Kongres predstavlja važan korak prema otvaranju međunarodnog dijaloga, razmjeni iskustava i pokretanju konkretnih mehanizama zaštite djece i obitelji, kao i prema utvrđivanju odgovornosti i jačanju pravnih i etičkih standarda u društvu.
