Unprecedented, Yes, Surprising, No
The Hamas death cult, the plight of the Palestinians, and Bibi's Israel
Unprecedented, yes, surprising, no. Hamas has told the world who they are since 1988 with the creation of the Hamas Covenant (which has to date never been rescinded) and its 2017 document, the Hamas Charter, which is a pathetic attempt to rebrand the terrorist organization. They both reveal the primary objectives, long-term goals, and the Islamofascism that governs Hamas. So, the massacre and savagery that occurred at 7 a.m. Saturday at The Tribe of Nova trance music festival near Re’im, outside of Kibbutz (5.3 kilometers from the wall that separates Gaza from southern Israel.), one of the first targets for Hamas as they launched their attack and invasion on Israel, should have come as no surprise. The image of Hamas storming in on motorized paragliders with mounted machine guns, and on motorcycles and trucks with Hamas insignias gets me thinking of an '80s action movie where the bad guys initially get the upper hand, but they have also set in motion their demise.
“We are discovering bodies of dead Israelis in the various communities that Hamas infiltrated.”
This at a festival that was advertised as a celebration of “friends, love, and peace,” thousands of festivalgoers, many teenagers, were attending this overnight event, and as of Tuesday, over 270 corpses have been recovered there. Men, women, children, and yes, even entire families. The current number of Israelis murdered by Hamas has reached 1,300, with at least 2,700 wounded. "That is not because there's ongoing fighting and Israelis continue to be butchered by Hamas terrorists," Lt. Col. (Res.) Jonathan Conricus, international spokesperson for Israel Defense Forces said. "It is because now, as the time has gone by, we are discovering bodies of dead Israelis in the various communities that Hamas infiltrated, and where they conducted their massacres." Meanwhile, roughly 200 Israelis have been taken hostage.
Israel’s initial offensive focused on bombarding hundreds of key Hamas targets with airstrikes in Gaza Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and several sites in Gaza City, along with Khan Younis and Rafah. The estimated number of Palestinians killed was 750. As of October 18th, the total number of Palestinians killed has reached at least 3,478, and as of Monday, at least 9,700 Palestinians have been wounded since October 7th. Early last Wednesday morning the IDF said that dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets have conducted airstrikes on approximately 450 targets in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours. It must be noted that we will see these numbers of the dead, wounded, and bodies recovered severely increase in the coming days and weeks… and even months.
Operation “Al Aqsa Storm”, is the code name for the recent multi-pronged terror attack carried out by Hamas. It is the bane of a centuries-old and frequently recurring hoax in the form of an antisemitic conspiracy theory about an impending Jewish plot to desecrate or take over the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, the Haram al-Sharif, the Dome of the Rock, the third holiest place in Islam after Mecca and Medina.
Israel has swiftly responded by calling up the largest mobilization in Israeli history of 300,000 army reservists to organize an all-out ground invasion of Gaza under the code name “Operation Iron Swords” that could very well last months. In the meantime, Palestinian Islamic Jihad has begun incursions along Israel’s northern border from Hezbollah’s centres in Southern Lebanon.
Savagery vs Civilization
This is about much more than Israel. This is about standing up against evil and opposing the enemies of humanity, the enemies of civilization. Hamas is no friend to the two million Gazan Palestinians who have been subjected to their terror for more than a quarter century. They are not a resistance group, they are not ‘freedom fighters’, and they have no aspiration to ‘free Palestine’. They are a savage death cult whose sole aspiration is, as described in their founding documents, the obliteration of the Jewish State and the annihilation of Jews from the river to the sea and beyond.
Hamas, the acronym for Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya (Islamic Resistance Movement), emerged in the late 1980s as the Palestinian branch and militant wing of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and was founded by the Palestinian Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. The Muslim Brotherhood, whose self-stated aim is the creation of a state controlled by sharia under a caliphate, is where Hamas invariably finds guidance for its ideology. Since its beginning in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood was inspired by fascism. The Nazi collaborator Haj Amin al-Husseini (the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem), who led the Palestinian Arabs prior to and during World War 2 and who met with Hitler in December 1942, collaborated with German intelligence and helped in establishing the Muslim division of the SS in Yugoslavia. It was befitting that during the time of the Holocaust, the Muslim Brotherhood received high praise from Nazi Germany when they were wreaking havoc across Europe, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Nazi affiliations were open and explicit with common enemies in the English, the Jews, and Bolshevism.
Hamas opposes the Israel–PLO Letters of Mutual Recognition as well as the Oslo Accords of 1993, which saw Hamas' political rival Fatah reject "the use of terrorism and other acts of violence" and recognize the State of Israel in the quest for a two-state solution.
“There are now 5 generations of Israelis and Palestinians who have no other place on earth to call home, that is the reality.”
To the usual crowd who decry ‘occupation’, in 2005 Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza, removing all its shelters and soldiers, dismantling all settlements, and subsequently opening the Gaza border for commerce and trade. Gaza is a self-governing territory that holds its own elections. They were provided with resources and funds that Hamas used to allocate and purchase weapons, build bomb shelters (exclusively for its elite), finance terrorism, and nothing to aid or support its own people.
Religious Fanaticism
I have never viewed the topic of Israel-Palestine to be, as it is most often called, a complex issue. Most of the Middle Eastern countries, nearly all countries in Europe, Canada, the U.S., the UN, and the international community, all agree that there is enough land for two states and two peoples to coexist peacefully. So why has this not happened? Because the parties of God will not permit this. Two Abrahamic faiths assert with divine authority their sole claims to a strip of land as promised in their archaic scriptures that they would see a land ironically deemed holy by both bear witness to endless bloodshed, killing each other over dirt. There are now 5 generations of Israelis and Palestinians who have no other place on earth to call home, that is the reality.
The legitimate plight of the Palestinian's cause for equal rights and, of the Palestinian diaspora, equal claims to the Law of Return and indeed the creation of a second state called Palestine – the only genuine solution – have been hijacked by Islamist ideology replacing it with Palestinian nationalism in an Islamic context; in which it has pursued policies of jihad against Israel by elected terrorists who obey the literal interpretation of Islamic scripture. The Hamas government in Gaza has pushed through policy changes that have given a greater preference and control to Islamic law in the Gaza Strip and subsequently over the Gazan Palestinians. The most recognized slogan of the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates like Hamas is "Islam is the solution".
